Bro Dave & Mrs. Shonna Smith

Bro. and Mrs. Smith have been serving the Lord since their marriage on May 22, 1971.  Bro. Smith came to know Christ as his Saviour after attending a revival meeting with his grand parents in November 1961.  Mrs. Smith trusted Christ as her Saviour as a Senior in High School in May of 1969.  Bro and Mrs. Smith both yielded their hearts and lives to Christ and met as they were preparing for His service in Bible college.  The Smith’s have two married children and six grandchildren.  Bro Smith is a veteran of the Army, and during his service they stayed very active in the local church.  Before marriage while in college Bro Smith served as a youth Pastor in a local church near the college. Bro. and Mrs. Smith have served in the areas of youth ministry, bus ministry, teaching in grades k-12 as well as college level.  In addition, Bro. Smith has served as administrator of Christian School, youth pastor, assistant and associate pastor, camp director of Cedar River Baptist Camp for 23 ½ years and 18 years as director of Circle C Baptist Ranch.  Bro. Smith interned two different churches until the churches were able to call a pastor.  They have traveled in evangelism for a total of twenty-five years.  Bro Smith has authored two devotional books and eighteen discipleship pamphlets.  As they travel in Evangelism, they also represent “Word To The World” publications based out of Central Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; producing scriptures for local churches and missionaries around the world.  When home they attend the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Marion, IA.  They are active personal soul winners wherever they are.  They live and serve to see the lost saved and saved strengthened in their walk and service for the Lord Jesus Christ.
